Dr. S. D. Sudarsan is the Executive Director at C-DAC Bangalore. He has more than three decades of R&D experience as Researcher and Manager in various domains of ICT. His areas of specialization include Wireless Communications, Next Generation Networks, Quantum Computing, Cyber Physical Systems, Cyber Security, Industrial IoT, R&D Management, IPR. He is actively involved with professional bodies including IEEE, ACM, and IETE. He has contributed to various standard related activities at IEC/ISO/BIS and has served in various committees as well as task forces. He has multiple patents, and research publications in peer-reviewed International Journals and Conferences. He leads the domains including Safety and Mission Critical Systems; Quantum Computing, Cyber Security, IoE, HPC etc.

With 19 years of expertise in IT R&D and Training, I have made significant contributions across all phases of the software product life cycle. My extensive experience encompasses architecting, implementing, and resolving issues within system-level and application software stacks across various domains, including Quantum Computing, Cloud Computing, High Performance Computing, and Grid Computing. Currently, I am focusing on researching areas such as simulating quantum computers and designing and developing software stacks to accelerate Quantum computing.

With over 2 decades of experience in the IT R&D and Training, I’ve made significant contributions to projects such as the Quantum Network Simulator and developing system software stack for quantum computers and accelerators. My expertise also encompasses virtualization and hypervisor security, for ensuring robust and secure computing environments. Additionally, I’ve authored numerous publications. Currently my interest lies on Quantum Machine Learning.

With over a decade of expertise in IT R&D, I’ve managed diverse projects including Metro Area Quantum Access Network, Centre of Excellence in Quantum Technologies, and Automatic Analysis of Avian Acoustics. I have 3 patents filed and 11 papers published. My research interests are Quantum Communication and QKD networks, as well as Control Electronics for Quantum Technologies.
